Thank you to everyone who came out and worked the Taekwon-Do booth at the Walla Walla Balloon Stampede.  We were fortunate to have great weather and large crowds.

Special thank you goes out to Mr. Mason McCauley, Mr. Willy Whipple, Mr. Morgan Tucker and Mr. Chad Eggers for their crowd drawing, action packed sparring demonstrations.  I’d also like to say thank you to Mr. Mathew McCauley, Mr. Wayne McCauley, Ms. Marchand McCauley, Ms. Lorie Ann Buchanan and Ms. Tawyna Lage for all their help with passing out balloons, answering questions, and helping with the set-up and take- down.

It was great exposure for our school and we welcome the new students that we have gained.  McCauley Taekwon-Do and Fitness is growing and we are excited about the future!

Whitman Students Learn Self-Defense

March 13th, 2006

Whitman Students Goofy.JPG

On March 8, 2006, a group of seven Whitman College students and their Professor came to Blue Mountain Taekwon-Do and Fitness for a two-hour self-defense class.  The group is going on a study trip to Texas and Mexico over spring break.  The objective of the class was to raise individual awareness and to introduce basic self-defense.

Based on the smiles, sweat and possibly a few sore muscles in the making, it was evident that everyone had a great time.

We, at Blue Mountain Taekwon-Do and Fitness are thankful for the opportunity to work with these young people and continue to be committed to assisting our community in safety education.

Ms. Annelle Mendez, a student from Honduras and an ITF 2nd Degree Black Belt teamed up with Mr. Mason McCauley III Dan to demonstrate ITF Taekwon-Do.

Together they performed Po-Eun, then Ms. Mendez performed Gae-Baek.  After performing several kicking sequences, Mr. McCauley finished the short demonstration to a captivated audience by performing a three-tile hand break.
